Instructions For Use
1. Carefully remove the sheath and core rod from the sterile packaging. Insert the core rod into the sheath using the guiding icon for seamless assembly.
2. During penetration, position the core rod seat in your palm, with two fingers gripping the sheath handle. Apply gentle yet firm pressure as you lock the switch on top, readying the device for puncture. The indicator should be in the ON position.
3. Monitor the puncture process closely. Should the indicator revert to OFF, this signifies successful penetration into the abdominal cavity.
4. Once penetration is complete, extract the core rod. The 10mm sleeve is versatile, accommodating devices ranging from 8 to 11mm, while the 5mm sleeve supports devices from 3 to 6mm.
5. For standard procedures, initiate with the veress needle to establish pneumoperitoneum. A converter is available to accommodate 5mm devices within the 10mm casing, also functioning to retrieve materials like blood or gauze. Utilize the specimen bag to securely contain surgical specimens.
